The reason I have placed 'Content' at the top of all the other tips is because it is simply the single most important rule to follow on your journey through SEO and Internet Marketing. It will be the first thing your Visitors, Advertisers and Bots (ad bots and crawl bots) will notice after coming to your webpage.

If you are providing your users with Low Quality or Outdated Content, Google will rate your website much lower and your CPC (The Bids Advertisers make to Appear on your website) will greatly fall. This can also get you smart-priced, even if you generate quality traffic on Low Quality Content.

So remember, always provide your readers/visitors with something unique and worthwhile which will actually acknowledge rather than something which has already been posted on a thousand other websites.

Ad Placement

You should not neglect the placement of your Adsense ads on your website as it plays an important to increase your CTR, CPC and Ultimately your Earnings.

So the question is, where should you place an Ad to get maximum CPC? The answer is pretty simple, place 2 ads inside your Blog Posts (or Content) and 1 outside the post. Keep one 336x280 Large Rectangle Ad on the top of the blog post just below the title and place second Ad in the middle of the blog post as 468x60 Banner. The remaining unit can be placed to the right of your post inside your sidebar.

You should position your Adsense Ad units as such to not annoy your visitors by popping right in their face but should be perfectly fit inside your content. Or in the positions you aim to get more clicks from.

For e.g. a site which provides File Downloads can have an Adsense Ad Unit right near the Download Link to get a High CTR.

Monitor and Limit the Use of Adsense Ad Units

Have you tried limiting the use of your Adsense Ad units? The biggest difference I myself have noticed is that by reducing the Ad units which had the lowest CTR you can quickly and easily increase your Adsense CPC.

What usually happens is if you don't have enough content to support all the Ad units, lower paying Ads start showing on your websites. This may increase your Click Through Rate (CTR) and bring in more clicks but because the Ads are not be relevant to your website (Public Advertisements) your CPC is likely to fall and your Adsense Earnings will decrease. And if you are increasing your Ad units ultimately you are making it easier for Advertisers you be shown on your website meaning an even Lower CPC (Because of Low Bids).

Remove the Low CTR Ad Units and replace them with the Higher Paying Ad units which have a Higher CTR and your earnings will rise automatically.

Just try our tip for a few days and you might notice an instant improvement and increase in your Low Adsense CPC.

Adsense Custom Channels will be very important to keep track of things. This should give you a clear and precise idea of which Ad slots are performing the best. Measure the CPC, CPM , CTR and Earning of each and every Ad unit.

Start creating custom channels for each ad slot in your blog and monitor their performance for at least two weeks to get an idea of things. If you keep changing Ad units too often without testing them thoroughly you might get inaccurate results and be missing out on better opportunities by placing your Ads elsewhere.

How this is going to help in increasing your Adsense CPC?

Remove the low performing Ad units from your website (Compare CTR and Final Earnings of Different Units). Google should now serve better ads to other remaining ad slots which are performing well, so your earnings and CPC will increase.

Enable Both Text and Image/Media Rich Ads

Always enable both Text and Image Ads on your websites. Never limit your Ad visibility to 'Only Image/Media Rich Ads' or 'Only Text Ads' as this will lower the bids for advertisers to appear on your website meaning Low Adsense CPC.

If you enable 'Both Text and Image Ads' Adsense will automatically show the Ad with the highest bid on your website which means a higher CPC for your.

In short, the more advertisers that are bidding to appear on your website the higher your Adsense CPC will be.

Keywords, keywords and more keywords!

Try researching to find keywords with High Adsense CPC and a High Search Volume (searched Globally), using the Google Adwords Keyword Tool. Search, search and search some more, and try to find specific keywords which have a low competition, high CPC and high search traffic.

After researching you can start centering your Website Pages, Blog Posts and Squidoo articles around such keywords. Always use these keywords naturally in the begining, the middle and the end of your content. It is also very useful to add them in your Headings or or tags.

Try not to bother with keywords that pay a few cents and those that have a low CPM. Ideally try to grab keywords with a CPC higher than $2.50.

This should be an MOST IMPORTANT part of your mission. Ideally you would never want a page that makes $1 dollar out of 5-10 Clicks - but rather you want a page that pulls an impressive $4-5 dollars out of just 2 Ad Clicks, or maybe even $40 dollars out of just 8 Clicks!

If you don't concentrate on your keywords, even if you have a lot of traffic you will be letting it go to waste and not earning a substantial amount. By targeting the right keywords you can make a lot more with a lot less traffic!

Reducing Fraud, Accidental and Useless Clicks

Do you have an Ad unit placed near the top of your content which gets a High CTR? Can this also be because of the awkward location some people click your Ad by mistake? When this happens the visitors often back out or close the Ad. This is counted by Google as either an Accidental or Fraud click.

You may temporarily get Earnings from these Clicks but they will most probably be reverted due to the low quality nature of the click.

So always try to minimize any Accidental or Useless clicks on your Adsense Ad units and 'NEVER Ask your Friends or Family to click on your Ads!

hat do you do when you feel like you can't write to save your life or you can write, but it's a real struggle for you to write the blog posts you need for this project?

Private Label Rights (PLR) .... Use It Very VERY Carefully
Almost everyone has some PLR (private label rights) articles on their PC, BUT ... you really have to be very smart about how you go about using it on your Blogger blog (or any other platform). Any PLR articles or blog posts you use MUST be very high quality rewrites of the original ... it cannot be used "as is" .

A Word (or Two) About Rewrites.....
Don't be lazy and just do synonym replacements with your favorite article spinning tool! You do need to edit, rewrite and beef up the content, but do it from your own perspective. Also add relevant images and YouTube videos to your blog posts to add more value to your PLR content. And where possible, add a link or two to relevant content on authority sites. Run your rewritten articles through CopyScape or another online tool to compare your rewrite against the original article.

Back in the day -- before the 'Panda' updates, many internet marketing experts said it was okay to do a light rewrite that was 35 - 55% unique. But doing that level of PLR rewrite today would be a complete waste of your time and will get you nowhere fast! Personally, I do rewrites that are at least 85 - 90% unique on all PLR articles that I use and that's the level I recommend you aim for with your rewrites. Sometimes I use the PLR article to model an entirely new article after. Yes, it's a lot more work, but this is what you're going to have to do to create the high quality content you're going to need for your blog.

One HUGE Tip For Creating Content That Google Will Love

This 4th step is a HUGE one because without content, you're not going to get approved for Google Adsense. So to help you, here's a big tip on how to create the blog content for your Blogger blog:

When Google rolled out the initial 'Panda' update (a/k/a the 'Farmer' update) to it's search engine algorithm in February of 2011, Google wanted to improve user experience by weeding out thin low quality blogs and websites that were gaming the system from their search engine rankings. The initial and subsequent monthly updates have made it clear that Big G is placing a lot of value on (a) content quality, (b) the relevance of content to a search inquiry, (c) how helpful content is likely to be to a site page visitor, and (d) content freshness.

Setting Up Blogger Is Easier Than 1-2-3

The set up for Blogger is very simple. And back in 2007 when I was approved for Adsense, it was cool to include info on how to set up Blogger in this lens, but today it takes a third row seat to what really matters in getting approved for Google Adsense: choosing a niche topic with good commercial value, and writing unique, high quality content that's helpful to someone searching for information on your niche topic.
So I've removed the modules that went through Step 1: Setting up your account, Step 2: Naming your Blogger blog & choosing a URL, and Step 3: Making your Blogspot look like a real website. You really don't need a module-by-module walk through, because Google has made Blogger even easier to work with. Just watch the YouTube video tutorial in the next module.

That means it shows how the tool works now (in terms of hot trends results, which are limited to the top 20), NOT how it used to work (it used to give you the top 100 hot trends for any given day).

Tools. When it comes to tools to help you research potential niche markets to target, there is an overabundance of them in my opinion. So many that you need a tool (or at least a "how to" guide) to help you pick the right one for your online projects! But for the purpose of finding niches that have high commercial value, Google offers 3 excellent tools you can use. They are easy to work with, provide you with info based on Google's own data and best of all ... they're FREE!

These are my favorite free niche research tools. With them you can quickly take some seed ideas, get the trends for those ideas, see what geographic areas have the most interest in these ideas, get keyword search terms from those seed ideas and create keyword lists for this project.
